End of the School Year-Stress Relief

Hi to all my blog viewers! Today, could possibly be the last of my blog posts, considering that this is officially the last blog post I HAVE to write. However,kk during the course of this year, I have learned how to aprecciate writtin ghtese blog posts. I've found out that it is a fine way of expressing myself, and mainly, organizing ideas. It could be considered a "virtual public diary". Therefore, I will continue writting blog posts, however, with more or less frequency than usual. However, this is not my blog post today is about. Today, im gonna talk a little bit about the end of the school year. I think the end of a school year is always hectic, because techers are putting pressure on us to end projects, study for tests before the final exam, and giving us work. I think this could also be parcialy the fault of their directors who must put pressure on them to conclude the year handing out all the content they should give throughout the year. However, they want to go to vacation as much as we want to, and this pressure on both sides, eventually causes stress, disagreements, and even lack of confidence! Like Holden Caufield would say " It makes me feel depressed..." The only thing that hold us on, is the idea that in a short period of time, school will be over, and we will have nearly two months of vacation to do whatever we want, with only the obligations WE choose. I was thinking about it, and I came with some tactics to releive the stress of the end of a school year. First of all, take a deep breath. Second of all, consider the pro's and con's of acting the way you will choose to, and third, enjoy the moment. These things tend to relieve tense moments.
They are good times to talk things out. Another tactic, is to do whjat you like to, in my case, playing the guitar. Seriously: If i'm nervous one day, and your close to me, and a guitar is close to me, give it to me, and you will have me "pacified" in about 5 min! But it could be anything to different people. You have to do things you enjoy, like the name of my blog imply's. I think this blog has also worked as a stress relief, because it is a place where on top of the fact that I express my feelings about stuff, I remember memories, and good times, thinking about things I enjoy. So my final advice I give to relive the stress of any moment: Build a "things I enjoy" blog. Just remember, live life the fullest, enjoy the moments, and don't forget:EXPRESS THEM!

My Favorite blog post: Jaunts to the beach Category: Personal/reflective/inspirational

My father decided to go to the beach on thursay and come back on saturday, however, it rained so we went on friday. We went to a beach called Juquehy in the north coast of São Paulo. I was kind of tired, didn't have that CRAVING to go to the beach, however, I went. I woke up, made my bag, two shorts, and three T-shirts, thjree underwear, my keel, leash, wax(for the board), and my good and old havaianas. I put yellow in her case, and strapped her to the rack of the car. So we went. Didn't get any traffic, for we were going against most of the people, who were coming back from carnival. We got tjere at about mid day, left our bags at our rooms, my pop made some sandwiches while I ajusted the leash and the keel to my board( I was still kind of sleepy). I ate a sandwich, and we walked down to the beach. The moment I saw the surfing conditions, that whole loving surfing/beach sensation came back. I was awaken. I wakes my board, and went in. The sea was big, whith waves of about 1.5 meters with bigger waves when the series came in. Yellow nd I tried to pass the breaking waves, and foam, which was really hard, and we were pushed back nearly the whole way top the beach at one point. However, eventually we made it. There were about four or five people surfing, and I was there. While the waves came, I would only feel the fear of paddling into one, but not do anything. about half an hour later I went into one. the wave closed on top of me, and I was thrown into the bottom. When I came up again, I jumped on the board and paddled back. Now that I had already felt it, it was easier. Suddenly, a wave opening right next to me, a big one, came. Even though it opened to the left, I went in. At the rate I would speed down the wave, the wave would grow behind me. I heard the noise of the wave breaking right at my side, and I was still surfing. I surfed it, and close to the end, it got me. It was FANTASTIC! On the next day, waves were much smaller, and we took the camera to rake some pics. It was also really cool, though it didn't feel nearly as close as it felt while facing the big waves, and the adrenaline was much smaller. I surfed until my leash broke, and by that ime, it was close to the end of the day, so I took yellow back, gave her a "non salt water bath", and took her keel of, and put her into the sack. We hit the rode at 6, and got to São Paulo at eight. It was a perfect jaunt. I intend to do this again many times, for even though it is for a short period of time, it is something different, and really nice.
P.S: The fotos I put here are the first ones I am in, they are mine, and they were taken in the second day, when waves were much smaller than the first day.

Friday's

YO YO YO !!!

Wasup snowflakes?

So, today, I will talk about something I really enjoy ( it is strange I haven't mentioned it yet..). I love Friday's. And even thought the restaurant Friday's is very enjoyable, this is not the topic which will be analyzed today. Today, is Monday, usually thw worst day of the week(except on vacations, and small holiday's). It is a rainy Monday, and I am sitting right between Nicholas Wever, and Christian Semple, (two white friends of mine) in Spanish class. As Christian and I have finished our Spanish project, I am allowed to post a blog for y'all. So, the reasons I Love Friday's are that I can finish the day with the thought that I have no due homework for the next day( it is Saturday).
The other reason is that whatever I do with my friends, I do not have to worry about time, the next day will be Saturday, whih means that I will not have to bother in sleeping well, because there is no school on the next day. Another reason I so much enjoy Fridays, is that I can go out with y friends, or sleep at a friends house, and the next day of he week. There are many other reasons to why Friday is usually the best day of the week. However, whatever they are, we kbnow that when we think of Friday's we think of relaxation, a nice time, and a close weekened!

The Current Corinthians Situation

Corinthians encounters itself in an extremeley pressured situation. People have continuously made fun of the corinthians team for their lack of a Libertadores da america cup. It is obviously jealousy of the other club fans, which have less than 26 Paulistões, dont have a FIFA world teams cup, three copa's do Brasil, for campeonatos brasileiros, ad many other championships which make corinthais, the quality team it is. Another reason of jealosuy is the ammount of fans. In the whole Brazil, the only team which beats corinthians when it comes to fans is Flamengo. However, São Paulo teams continue to make fun of Corinthians because they don't have one title championshiop, which at least all the other three major São Paulo teams have: The Taça Libertadores da America. This year, Corinthians is completeing 100 years old, which makes it more crucial that they have a Libertadores. Teams have been discouraging fans, and players, for they want to have something that Corinthaisn dosn't have, so that they can make fun of us. Well, Corinthains was qualified for the Libertadores, passed the first phase, and is now in the thir round. Corinthians lost for Flamengo in the first game, in their home stadium, and now they arfe coming to our city, São Paulo. Corinthains has to beat Flamengo by two, so that they can qualify. It is a tense situation. We Corinthainos are cheering, and mentalizing the trophy in our hands. He can Do it.

Procrastination

What exactly is procrastination? In my personal opinion, procrastination, is the time we take of from ourselves when we know we are pressured to do something, and even knowing that, we try to forget it so that we can have a longer period of time without being pressured to work. However, the real definiton of procrastination, is when we leave every task we have to do, until the last second, while we could have done it a long time ago. While we should be performing small parts of the task during the time stipulated by the "tasker", we just "forget" about it, and leave it to the last instant. I am not really fond of procrastination...However, I am oftenly subjected to it, usually on a weekly basis. Procrastination is usually more usual in larger tasks, such as a math statistics project, a biology test, or even an ENGLISH RESEARCH PAPER! However, small things as tyding up your room, or cleaning the computer's hard drive could also be motives to procrastination. The advantages of procrastination, are that you have more free time, because you will be taking all the time you would be performing the small parts of the task, to do what you want, and at the end, you would have to catch up all in a shorter ammount of time.
However, there are more disadvantages to procrastinating, such as: The short period of time one is using to do a long period task, could be a risly thing for a good grade. There is also the large ammount of work on one's back, when it comes very closeley to the due date. And finally, in my opinion one of the worst, the feeling of having to perform loads of work in a small period of time is frustrating. Sometimes, people tend to procrastinate, and sometimes there is no wrong in it. However, if done too often, one could end up with serious problems. So be careful: Before you procrastinate, weigh the consequences, and see if the task being procrastinated can be performed in the short ammount of time, or if you are only going to freak out. Sometimes, it is best to do small portions, rather then FREAK OUT IN THE LAST MINUTE!

Hachi

Today, I watched the movie Hachi. It is about a boy who is telling a story to his class, about his most inspirational character, and it turns out to be his grandfathers dog. Many people laugh at him in the classroom, but he goes on with the story. The story about a man in his mid sixties, who comes back from a trip by train, and on the train station, he find's a puppy who is lost. He takes the puppy in, and finally convinces his wife to keep the dog. THe dog is an Akita dog, and even though this do breed has the characteristic of not being human friendly, Hachi, which is his name, end's up being extremeley close to the owner. The story occurs in the 30's, and it is impressive how it can be such a long time ago, and still be a perfectly modern day story. Anway, the dog get's so close to the owner, that hw follows his master to the train station, where he leaves to work, and goes back home. At the end of the day, Hachi would come back to the train station at the exact moment his owner came back, and take him home. Both of them build an impressive connection. However, one day, while he is giving his classes, the man suffers from a heart attack, and dies.

The dog however, continues going to the same train station, and waiting for his owner, even though he never came back. Even though Hachi was adopted by the former owner's daughter, he ran away, and would go at noon every day to the train station, and wait for his owner. He did that for ten years, and died doing that one day at night, when he was tweleve. It is a very touching story. It is very beautiful, but at the same time very sad. It was the only movie in my entire life, that tears came down my cheeks. I do not know if it is because of my living between pets, and animals, or because it is just so sad. I really liked the movie though. I recommend it to people, however, recommend them to hold a kleenex box by their side, for even me, who had never cried in any movie throughout my whole life, cried in this one.

Respec.
Jamal
